STEM Small Grants Program

For the past eight years, the UGA Office of STEM Education awarded small grants to fund research projects to improve instruction and enhance the success of students taking STEM courses.


STEM Learning Communities

The UGA Office of STEM Education awards start-up funding to STEM learning communities to develop and share professional knowledge to improve STEM student learning at all levels of education.

Peer Learning Launches Fall 2016

Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs) for BIOL 1107 attend their first pedagogy training.

The Office of STEM Education is working in partnership with several campus departments towards the development of a Peer Learning Assistant (PLA) program for introductory STEM courses. Starting in fall 2016, certain sections of BIOL 1107 will be supported by undergraduate PLAs who will share their strategies for success with current students. Peer Learning Assistants will recieve pedagogy training in order to better equip them to serve in their mentoring roles.
